Multikering Katwijk in race for Schreuders award
DP6’s design for the multifunctional flood defenses in Katwijk aan Zee is one of five nominations for the Schreuders award 2011. The Schreuders award is a bi-annual prize honoring innovation and conscientiousness in underground building technology.
The 'Multikering' design aims at the development of integrated solutions for water safety and logistical planning through combining a parking garage and a variety of facilities in a multifunctional embankment along the coast of Katwijk aan Zee. Other nominees include the renovation team of the Rijksmuseum and the RandstadRail Rotterdam. The winner will be announced on Thursday November 3rd.
