Thijssehuis completed

The Thijssehuis on Texel has been completed! Kopgroep Bibliotheken, the Artex art school, the youth organisation Y4E and Radio Texel are currently busy furnishing their new home: the new cultural hub on the outskirts of Den Burg town centre. The building, with its three wooden roofs, embodies the island’s atmosphere: in its open and welcoming appearance, in the use of natural materials, but also in the building’s unifying role, which fosters synergy between the various cultural organisations. At the end of the summer, the Thijssehuis will open its doors and everyone is welcome – residents and visitors to the island, young and old alike.
