Roof building-up Leidsche Rijn
In Leidsche Rijn, 47 individual occupants of our Langerak 1 housing project have commissioned the addition of roof superstructures. The original project, with was completed in 1999, consists of sculptural blocks rendered in brick and aluminium. After some years the occupants started exploring the possibility of extending their house space. They like their houses and the surroundings so much that they don’t feel the need to move elsewhere. The new roof extensions add to the sculptural effect of the blocks, and are finished in anodised aluminium.
