Office entrance Avalex
The new entrance that DP6 designed for the Delft office of Avalex, a waste processing company, guarantees a sheltered arrival. The entrance consists of a new ramp that leads to a glazed entrance porch. A line of weathered steel folds around the outside of the entrance, while the inner surface is finished in slats of waste wood. Floor tiles of recycled glass have also been used. The application of waste materials such as reused wood and glass is a nod to the huge flows of waste that Avalex processes every day.
