Official opening CineMec Nijmegen

Less than a year after construction commenced, CineMec Nijmegen, the third CineMec branch, is in full swing. The building was officially inaugurated on Tuesday, 15 March with a varied cultural programme.

The first part of the complex was ready for use in December. The new CineMec Nijmegen building comprises a number of distinct theatre volumes with room for the foyer, offices and bar/restaurant  at the centre. The roof of the building has been opened up and folded along a number of lines to allow daylight to reach deep into the building. The folded roof surfaces will be turfed over in the spring.
