New assignment: Hart van Austerlitz
The community of Austerlitz has decided to award the design of a new community house, primary school, kindergarten and 25 apartments to DP6. The project of Hart van Austerlitz (Heart of Austerlitz) offers the opportunity of realizing a special building for the community. The new building can further strengthen social cohesion. The residents of Austerlitz, from young to old, come together here. There is space for relaxation, for sports, for care, for education and for living.
The location of the Hart van Austerlitz has a beautiful green character through the large green structure along the Schoolweg. Austerlitz has a typical village-like atmosphere with many roof tiled buildings. In order to connect to this atmosphere, the building has a tiled roof with low gutters. In addition, the roof shape allows the terraced outdoor spaces of the houses.
The central hall has been developed as an inner courtyard. At the courtyard lie the lobby bar of the community house, the rentable rooms, the dressing rooms of the gym hall, the kindergarten, the apartments and the school.
