Redevelopment of pump house and clean water cellar in Delft

DP6 is designing the redevelopment of the pump house and clean water cellar of the water tower in Delft, which dates from 1895. This eye-catcher on the north side of the center was already transformed by Rocha Tombal architects in 2008. DP6 is currently working on the design of the adjacent pump house with underground corridors together with the new owner, Robert Lekkerkerk. The complex will have a social function and thus becomes accessible to Delft and the surrounding area. Architect Robert Alewijnse says: “The pump house and the clean water cellar are fascinating. The circular shaped concrete walls have been affected by the water over time and have a beautiful drawing. We see it as our task to do justice to these qualities in the new destination. ”
