Block B4 Lloydkade
Over the next few years the Lloyd Pier in Rotterdam was transformed from a harbour area into a high-quality residential location. Within an urban plan conceived by Rijnboutt Van der Vossen Rijnboutt, DP6 created a design for two residential blocks on top of a car park. The central theme of our plan embodies comfortable outdoor spaces with ample sunshine and the view across the river. The houses therefore feature spacious balconies trimmed with brickwork. The undulating plan of the balconies creates the right dimensions to catch the sun and introduces a dynamic pattern that echoes the river.
