Wijnbergen het Oosten
Het Oosten is part of a new neighborhood in Wijnbergen, in the south of Doetinchem. Wijnbergen has a rural reputation and with characteristic elements such as the Kapperskolk and the Oude Doetinchemseweg. The Kapperskolk is an atmospheric and pleasant area near a somewhat hidden body of water. The banks are heavily vegetated and in some cases the neighboring cows can reach the edge of the water. Wijnbergen will create an ecologically connected zone encapsulating the Kapperskolk and its surroundings.
The master plan of Wijnbergen het Oosten includes 200 homes and a teahouse. By joining the design to the adjacent landscapes the plan is welcomed into its surroundings naturally and obviously. The choice to connect to the borders also advances the development of sub-areas with different landscape characteristics and different living environment possibilities.
The following sub-areas are defined:
The eco-zone
The edge of the forest
The gardens
The backyard
The village square
