RSG Lingecollege
The new building to house intermediate general secondary education at the RSG Linge College occupies a prominent site on Teisterbaan in the town of Tiel. The new setting creates a place for the pupils, with an outdoor space all to themselves. The extremely transparent building closely connects inside and outside, allowing passers-by to see what’s happening inside.
A major determining factor in the interior are the various learning departments (Mankind and Society, Languages and Science). Learning squares connected to each department enhance the spaciousness and add pleasant study areas to the building. Voids and rooflights draw daylight deep into the interior. The compact form and use of maintenance-free materials make the building sustainable and energy efficient in use.
